Jamm - The New Sound of Soul

Jamm (Soul artist) out of Atlanta entered the studio Thursday on a mission. He's been hanging out at Tree Sound creating something HOT! Be on the look out for his CD in the very near future. I'll keep you posted!

The other players on his team laying it down include Chantae Cann (background vocals), Brandon Gilliard (Bass), Eddie Wright (Guitar) and Reese Jones (Drums).

The horn section (Melvin Jones - Trumpet, Michael Burton - Tenor Sax, Ron James - Alto Sax) came in on day two and laid down the horn tracks. They are some bad boys!

The spirit and chemistry in the studio has been UNBELIEVABLE! This will be a CD you need to have in your collection and on your IPOD. CLASSIC! One you will pick up 20 years from now.

Lessons Learned

It's that time of year again! It's Mother's Day eve and I was just thinking about all that my Mother means to me. I'm grateful for the relationship we share and it is my hope that I can create and maintain that same openness with my children. I'm into my ninth year being a Mother and it's a challenging task. Parenting is the most challenging thing I have ever done because there is so much heart and emotion behind it. The challenges make me appreciate my Mother even more. Wow, the sacrifices we make for our children. Thanks Mom, I Love You!!

I had the privilege of attending Muffins with Mom with my 6 yr. old daughter and a Mother's Day Tea with my 9 yr. old son on Friday at their school. It was a special day for all in attendance. For both events the children prepared a short speech about their Mom and recited it. My 6yr old daughter said, "My Mom is special because she watched a movie with me". When I heard her I thought - I may be able to pull this Mothering thing off after all. Lesson #1 - little things make a big difference. My 9yr old son said, "My Mother should be Mother of the Year because...She smells good and that's what makes her pretty". Hold up! Stop the madness! That's it? Okay,(drum roll) props goes out to Juicy Couture! I get so many compliments when I wear that fragrance. If a squirt of Juicy makes me pretty I'll take it! I'm a customer for life! Lesson #2 - little things make a big difference.

Don't forget to share love this weekend with all the Moms and all the special women in your life. Take lots of pictures!

Feeling Like Paparazzi

Recently, I was in Los Angeles with my family exposing my kids to some of the touristy spots for the first time. We walked down Rodeo Drive and got a chance to see paparazzi staking out someone. They were crammed in a small car with cameras, equipment and computers. I assumed someone was in the area they wanted to photograph, but I didn't hang around to see.

I got a chance to be paparazzi on Hollywood Boulevard. My husband spotted the infamous Bobby Brown and I was able to get a couple of shots. He even posed for one of the shots.

Hey, BOBBY!

Welcome to my blog! Please stop by frequently to see the latest pictures I've uploaded. Blogging is all new to me so don't criticize too much.

As some of you know, I'm going back to school to get a Commercial Photography degree! The program starts in the Fall 2008 and I'm excited about the possibilities. Currently, I'm trying to shoot everything I can to develop my own unique style. Please check back to watch me evolve as a photographer. I'll add some pictures soon.
